Maintenance Automation Engineer

You’ll work in the maintenance team and you are jointly responsible for:

  • Reduction of downtime 
  • Assure the availability and throughput of the material handling installations 
  • Focus on continuous improvement (technical and organizational) in a KPI-driven and lean maintenance 
  • Depending your knowledge and experience, which you also will acquire on the job, you’ll be responsible for:

Preventive Maintenance

  • The execution of support planned maintenance and repairs are your main task (inspections, upkeep, etc)
  • Throughout your daily work you assure Safety checks and visual inspections
  • You implement electrical and PLC adjustments
  • You run performance checks
  • Malfunctions are quickly resolved by you
  • You’re responsible for the hardware maintenance of the installed computer technology (controls/PLC)
  • You ensure the continuation of existing plant documentation for changes made by Dematic

Corrective Maintenance

  • The alignment of all installations, with the highest accuracy, is obvious to you
  • To minimalize downtimes and work interruptions you will analyse errors on installations involved and you’ll solve them
  • Together with your team members you will analyse errors (RCA-FMEA) and work out action plans to avoid failures in the future.


We expect you to take ownership of an installation

  • To maximize the available, safety and efficiency of the total installation, you’ll participate in improvement-projects.
  • Therefor you’ll be analysing weak points, formulating improvements and execute, support or coordinate modifications
  • You will deepen in the study of the detailed functionalities and technical working methods
  • The optimal use of spare parts will be assured by you
  • You’re owner of the technical documentation
  • Reporting on the status of your job, your executed work and the used parts you do meticulously in the CMMS.

Profile

  • You obtained a degree in Electrics, Maintenance or Electronics
  • General knowledge of PLC’s is necessary Siemens Step 7, Tia Portal, Movi tools
  • You’ve got knowledge of Fieldbus, Profibus, drivers, scanners, electrical schemes
  • Problem solving & trouble shooting, cause – event, triggers you
  • You have an analytical mind and loves to work autonomously
  • Work in a fully continuous shift system isn’t an issue
  • Your work is impeccable and you’ll do everything for the team
