Egemin Automation obtains patent for sorter supported picking
Egemin Automation's application for a patent for sorted supported picking was recently officially accepted. Sorter supported picking is a method for automatically collecting slow running goods in warehouses and for handling returned goods under the supervision of a central computer system.

The slow running goods are automatically supplied to a transport system in a predefined order. The packagings for the goods are supplied on a second transport system that is installed underneath the first system. The central computer controls both systems in such manner that all goods are deposited in their corresponding packaging. This picking method allows for achieving better results with respect to throughput capacities. In addition, chances of incorrect deliveries are reduced to the absolute minimum. The patent is granted for a period of ten years.
