Synutra France, a French-Chinese producer of milk powder, is currently building the largest milk powder production plant in the world in Brittany, France. By 2015, the new plant should be producing up to 300,000 tonnes of milk powder per year exclusively for the Chinese market. Synutra chose Egemin to design and implement a turnkey intralogistic system for the new plant. The system will take care of the automated management, transport and sotrage of all flows of raw materials, finished products and consumables. Egemin's scope of delivery includes an automated warehouse installation, conveyor systems and AGVs that will take care of the transport in between the various process stages.
Egemin refreshes part of its standard E'gv® product range with four new fork-lift models. The new models can lift higher and heavier, making them a better fit for a broader range of applications than the models they replace. As a result, customers will have more freedom in the transport and handling of loads. The first vehicles will be deployed at customer sites from next month
Egemin’s Infra Automation division is working on several major infrastructure projects to automate the operation of pumping stations installed along Belgian rivers and canals. These stations are responsible for the regulation of the water level. The adaptation works are part of the projects on flood control of the Flemish Government. Egemin Automation will renew the electromechanical components of the controls or install completely new control systems.
